dc.description.abstractIn this digital age, social media platforms play a crucial role in informing the public and shaping perceptions, providing essential information about current events and issues. However, the widespread of fake news across various social media platforms and websites poses a significant threat. Fake news, has the potential to cause extensive social and national harm, undermining public trust and inciting unrest. Considerable research has been dedicated to developing methods for detecting and preventing the spread of fake news. This body of work encompasses a range of approaches, including the application of machine learning and metaheuristic techniques. In our study, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the existing research on fake news detection. We review and synthesize the literature, highlighting the different strategies and technologies that have been proposed and implemented to mitigate the impact of fake news. Our objective is to present a detailed analysis of the advancements in this field, underscoring the importance of continued research and innovation to effectively address the challenges posed by fake news. *** Dans cette `ere du digital, les plateformes des media sociaux jouent un rˆole crucial dans l’information du public et la formation des perceptions, fournissant des informations essentielles sur les ´ev´enements et les probl`emes actuels. Cependant, la prolif´eration des fausses nouvelles sur diverses plateformes de m´edias sociaux et sites web pose une menace significative. Les fausses nouvelles ont le potentiel de causer des dommages sociaux et nationaux consid´erables, sapant la confiance du public et incitant aux troubles. Des recherches consid´erables ont ´et´e consacr´ees au d´eveloppement de m´ethodes pour d´etecter et pr´evenir la propagation des fausses nouvelles. Ces travaux couvrent une gamme d’approches, y compris l’application de techniques d’apprentissage automatique et d’autres m´ethodologies avanc´ees. Dans notre ´etude, nous visons `a fournir un aper¸cu complet des recherches existantes sur la d´etection des fausses nouvelles. Nous passons en revue et synth´etisons la litt´erature, en soulignant les diff´erentes strat´egies et technologies qui ont ´et´e propos´ees et mises en oeuvre pour att´enuer l’impact des fausses nouvelles. Notre objectif est de pr´esenter une analyse d´etaill´ee des avanc´ees dans ce domaine, en soulignant l’importance de la recherche et de l’innovation continues pour relever efficacement les d´efis pos´es par les fausses nouvelles.en_US
