Shortage of essential medications is a global dilemma that affects countries regardless to their income or development level. Its frequency has increased in recent years putting patients’ lives in danger. While some high-income countries built national platforms to track medicines availability and report shortage and short supply cases, other ones still did not catch up. In Algeria, there is a lack of information regarding this problem; patients with chronic diseases find difficulties in searching for theirs medications’ availability, the same goes for doctors when giving prescriptions, moreover government do not have sufficient data about medications shortage to build a strategy that helps taking better decisions. The objective of this project is to tackle these two problems as the same time, first providing patients and doctors a way to search for medications availability in the Algerian territory, and second giving health authorities a dashboard that gives statistics data about medications availability plus reporting those ones in shortage.en_US
