Network Security Manager

Abstract

Nowadays, enforcing the network security is becoming a crucial task not to be underestimated, because the attackers never stop searching for new methods that allow them to exploit any venerability in the company network. However securing the network is turning to a difficult process due to the increasing number of network devices that make the topology more complex, alongside the human miss-configuration that can turn a corrective action into a destructive one. Network automation has simplified the IT job of engineers by automating the different complex tasks, but regardless of the recent numerous uses of it in networking, the security community is relatively slow in adapting it. In this work, we will establish our framework “NSM”: Network Security Manager, which aims to automate the processes of the network security assessment, design, deployment of the corrective actions in addition to monitoring & reporting.***

nos jours, la sécurité des réseaux devient une tâche cruciale à ne pas sous-estimer, et les attaquants ne cessent pas à chercher des nouvelles méthodes leur permettant d'exploiter les vulnérabilités des réseaux. Cependant, la sécurisation de ces derniers se tourne en un processus très difficile à cause du nombre croissant des périphériques qui rendent la topologie d'un réseau plus complexe, ainsi que la mauvaise configuration qui peut entraver le bon fonctionnement du réseau . L'automatisation du réseau a simplifié beaucoup le travail des ingénieurs en automatisant les différentes tâches complexes, et malgré ses utilités, la communauté de la sécurité tarde à l'adapter. Dans ce travail, nous allons établir notre framework «NSM»: Network Security Manager, qui vise à automatiser les processus d’évaluation de la sécurité du réseau, de conception et de déploiement des actions correctives, la surveillance et la création des rapports .
